At 12:56 on the 10th July 2026, three fire engines from Ormskirk and Tarleton along with the water bowser from Leyland attended a fire in the open on Wholesome Lane, Holmeswood, Ormskirk. The fire involved a vehicle and approximately 100mx200m of land. Firefigthters used three hose reel jet, a light portable pump and beaters to extinguish the fire. Crews remain in attendance.
