At 16:00 on February 18th 2026, two fire engines from Preston responded to an fire in the open on Four Acre Lane, Thornley, Preston. The fire involved a large quantity of wood and waste, measuring approximately 20 meters by 10 meters. Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews remained on scene for one hour and 30 minutes.
