At 09:22 on 20 August 2026, one fire engine from Hornby attended flooding to multiple properties on Avondale Road, Lancaster. Fire crews used a main pump to clear water, unblock drains and isolate electricity supplies to affected properties. Crews were on scene for approximately one hour and twenty minutes.
