At 12:16 on 26 April 2026, three fire engines from Lancaster and Bolton‑le‑Sands attended a fire involving a garage, which spread to neighbouring garden fences on Keswick Grove, Heysham. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for one hour and thirty minutes.
