At 18:24 on the 17th May 2025, one fire engine from Ormskirk attended a grass fire one Higgins Lane, Burscough. Firefighters used beaters, one hose reel and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for one hour and thirty minutes.
