At 2.16pm, three fire engines from Leyland, Chorley and Bamber Bridge fire stations attended a fire at a domestic property on Old Worden Avenue, Buckshaw Village. The fire involved fence panels and had spread to the fascia boards, a window and the roof of the house. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, a triple extension ladder, thermal imaging camera, positive pressure ventilation unit and a range of firefighting equipment to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
