At 02:53 hours, three fire engines from Bacup, Burnley and Nelson attended a house fire on Brooklands Road, Burnley.
The fire involved the ground floor living room of a semi-detached property. Firefighters used six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a thermal imaging camera, a gas monitor, small tools, lighting and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire and check for hotspots. Crews also provided oxygen therapy to a cat and a dog.
Crews were in attendance for approximately three hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
