At 17:35, three fire engines from Preston and Penwortham attended a fire at Tulketh Road, Preston. The fire involved the first floor of a bedroom within a domestic property. One casualty was led to safety by firefighters and then handed into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one gas monitor and two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately three hours.
