At 05:11 on Tuesday 18th August 2026, two fire engines from Hyndburn and Blackburn attended an incident on Shadsworth Road, Blackburn. The fire involved the kitchen of a residential property. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews were detained for thirty-five minutes.
