Moorland fire in Haslingden
At 20:30 on 10 April 2025, two fire engines from Haslingden and Bacup along with the drone team, wildfire units from Bacup and Rawtenstall with the Haagland and beaver tail specialist appliances all responded to a moorland fire on Tor Hill, Haslingden. The fire consisted of 150 square metres of scorched grassland which was extinguished using three aqualeader backpacks and three leaf blowers. Fire crews were on scene for thirty-five minutes.
