At 13:32 on 24 April 2026, two fire engines from Morecambe and Lancaster attended to Marine Road East, Morecambe, to reports of a casualty stuck in the mud. The casualty was rescued by a member of the public prior to fire service arrival. Crews were on scene for an hour.
