At 23:39 on 11th March 2026, two fire engines from Clitheroe responded to an outbuilding fire on Dunsop Road, Whitewell. Firefighters extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one 45mm jet and a ventilation unit. Fire crews were on scene for two hours and forty-five minutes.
