At 10:17 hours on 9th March 2026, two fire engines from Leyland and Bamber Bridge and the urban search and rescue team from Chorley and Bamber Bridge attended an incident on Ranglet Road, Bamber Bridge. The incident involved one casualty with a hand trapped in machinery. Fire service were in attendance for just over three hours.
