Rescue of a person in Preston
At 09:40 hours on 9th March 2026, five fire engines from Preston, Penwortham, Chorley and Bamber Bridge, including the urban search and rescue, rope rescue, boat with swift water rescue technicians and an aerial ladder platform, attended an incident on South Meadow Lane, Preston. The incident involved a rescue of a person at height. Fire service were on scene for approximately two hours.
