Rescue of person in Leck

At 19:56 on 20 May, two fire engines from Hornby and Bentham (of North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service), together with an aerial ladder platform and support pump from Morecambe, as well as the urban search and rescue and drone teams, attended a reported rescue of a person on Leck Fell Road, Leck. Firefighters worked with Mountain Rescue and North West Ambulance Service to coordinate a cave search. Fire service personnel supported by searching with a drone and providing scene lighting. No casualties were located and the incident appears to have been a false alarm. Crews remained in attendance for several hours.
