At 14:37 hours on 1st March 2025, two fire engines from Chorley attended an incident on Eaves Lane, Chorley. The incident was a fire involving the kitchen of a two‑storey residential building. Firefighters used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control. One casualty suffering smoke inhalation was treated by fire service personnel using oxygen therapy and handed into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Fire service were on scene for approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
