At 20:36 hours on 23rd February, two fire engines from Chorley attended a road traffic collision on Chorley Road, Heath Charnock. The incident involved two vehicles. One casualty self‑extricated with the assistance of North West Ambulance Service, and one casualty was confined in the vehicle. Fire crews removed the passenger door to assist with extrication. Both casualties were transferred to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Crews used cutting equipment and were detained for approximately one hour.
