At 12:35 hours on 3rd December 2025, two fire engines from Chorley and the Urban Search and Rescue teams from Bamber Bridge and Chorley attended an incident on Spendmore Lane, Coppull. The incident was a road traffic collision involving one double-decker bus in collision with a railway bridge. Fire service were on scene for approximately two and a half hours.
