At 19:20 hours on 2nd September 2026, two fire engines from Darwen attended a road traffic collision at the junction of Ratcliffe Street and Philip Street in Darwen. The collision involved one car. One casualty was treated on scene by fire crews and later conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Crews were detained for approximately 50 minutes.
