On 10th September 2025 at 15:32 hours, two fire engines from Penwortham and Bamber Bridge attended Leyland Road, Penwortham. The road traffic collision involved a car into a lamppost. One casualty was conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Fire service remained at the scene for one hour and twenty-five minutes.
