At 22:45 on 31st March 2026, two fire engines from Hyndburn and Rawtenstall attended a road traffic collision on Back Lane, Rising Bridge, Accrington. The incident involved a single vehicle. Firefighters released a casualty, who was then taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters used a trauma pack and lighting equipment and worked to make the scene safe. Crews remained at the scene for approximately one hour and twenty minutes.
