At 10:50 on the 10th July 2026, three fire engines from Wesham, South Shore and St Annes attended a road traffic collison on thr M55 west between Junction 3 and 4. Firefighters worked to make the scene safe and handed one casulaty into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for two hours.
