At 21:27 hours on 3rd August 2026, three fire engines from Fulwood, Bamber Bridge and Lancaster attended a road traffic collision involving a vehicle which had exited the main carriageway and ended up upside down off the M6 northbound motorway between Junctions 32 and 33. Firefighters extricated the casualty, who was passed in to the care of north west ambulance service. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.
