At 17:11 on the 20th December 2025, three fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe responded to a road traffic collision on the M6 southbound carriageway between Junction 34 to Junction 33. The vehicle involved had left the highway and entered a ditch. Firefighters utilised Holmatro cutting equipment, scene lighting, Tirfor, and Paratech struts to stabilise the vehicle.
