Road traffic collision on M65 motorway
At 13:37 on 20th September 2024, two fire engines from Burnley, one from Nelson, and one from Preston, along with the Urban Search and Rescue Unit from Lancashire Fire and Rescue, responded to reports of a person trapped following a road traffic collision on the M65 westbound carriageway. The incident involved a heavy goods vehicle and a car. Fire crews made the scene safe and were in attendance for twenty minutes.
