At 06:39 on 28 May 2026, two fire engines from Bispham and Preesall attended an incident on St Andrews Court, Thornton Cleveleys, in which lightning struck the roof of a domestic property, causing the roof to partially collapse. Firefighters isolated the electrics and were in attendance for approximately one hour.
