At 19:06 hours on 23rd July 2025, two fire engines from Blackburn attended a large skip fire at the rear of a derelict commercial premises on Preston New Road, Blackburn. Fire fighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel and one jet, a triple extension ladder to check for signs of fire radiated heat damage tot he premises. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and twenty minutes.
