At 13:29 on 19th May, 2025, one fire engine from Bamber Bridge was called to reports of a skip fire on Gregson Lane, Houghton Le Dale. On arrival the fire service dealt with a fire involving a skip that had spread to a domestic property. One hose reel and one triple extension ladder were used. Crews were in attendance for approximately 35 minutes.
