At 15.55 on the 25th October 2025, two fire engines from Hyndburn and Skelmersdale attended a building fire on Bridge Street, Church. This was a fire involving a shipping container. Fire crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately thirty minutes.
