Timber fire in Newton

At 22:47 hours on 27th March 2025 four fire engines from Clitheroe, Great Harwood, Hyndburn and the water bowser with support from Leyland attended Easington road Newton. The fire involved a large quantity of timber in close proximity to outbuildings. Two jets, hand held jets, two breathing apparatus, light portable pump, ground monitor, thermal imaging camera and lighting ere used during the incident. Fire crews remain in attendance.
