At 15:06 on 27th May 2026, one fire engine from Skelmersdale Fire Station attended a vehicle fire on Swanpool Lane, Aughton. Firefighters extinguished the vehicle using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet, and a trauma pack was used to assess one casualty suffering from burns. Crews were in attendance for one hour and thirty minutes.
