At 00:24 on 4th August 2025, three fire engines from Bacup and Rawtenstall stations attended a vehicle fire on Newchurch Road, Stacksteads, Bacup. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets, two and a circular saw. Crews remained at the scene for over two and a half hours.
