At 14:35 on 5th January 2026, crews from Leyland and Penwortham attended a vehicle fire on Drumacre Lane, Longton. The fire involved one electric vehicle. Firefighters used one hose reel and one main jet to extinguish the fire. Crews were detained just over one hour.
