At 12:04, two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham attended a fire involving approximately 15 tonnes of scrap metal waste in a truck trailer at a commercial premises on Wallend Road, Preston.
Firefighters used two jets, two breathing apparatus units and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and 45 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
