At 16:55 on the 29th July 2024, two fire engines from Preston attended a vehicle fire on the M55 Westbound between Junction 2 and 3. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel and halmatro combi tool to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were in attendance for thirty-five minutes.
