At 14:48 hours on 12th June 2026, three fire engines from Morecambe, Hornby and Silverdale attended an incident on the M6 motorway northbound between junction thirty four and junction thirty five. The fire involved one camper van. Firefighters used a hose reel, one breathing apparatus and small tools to extinguish the fire. Crews were detained for thirty five minutes.
