At 18:12, two fire engines from Lancaster and Preston attended a vehicle fire, on the M6 southbound between Junction 33 and Junction 32. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Crews remained in attendance for approximately 45 minutes.
