Vehicle fire on M6 motorway
At 13:06 on 28th February 2025, four fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe, Bolton-le-Sands, and Carnforth attended a vehicle fire on the M6 southbound between junctions 35 and 34. One casualty was treated by North West Ambulance Service. The motorway will remain closed into the evening. Emergency services were in attendance for two hours and fifty minutes.
