At 13:00 hours on 10th May 2025, three fire engines from Lancaster and Garstang attended a fire involving a vehicle on the hard shoulder of the M6 North motorway between junctions 33 and 34. Firefighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel and two breathing apparatus. Crews were in attendance for approximately forty minutes.
