At 12:08 on June 28th 2025, three fire engines from Bamber Bridge, Leyland, and Preston attended a vehicle fire on the M6 northbound motorway between junctions 30 and 31. Firefighters used one hose reel and 20 litres of foam to extinguish the fire. Crews were on the scene for approximately 45 minutes.
