Vehicle fire on M6 Southbound
At approximately 03:52 on 1st April 2026, three fire engines from Preston and Fulwood attended a vehicle fire on the southbound carriageway of the M6 between junctions 32 and 31. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews remained at the scene for around one hour and ten minutes.
