Vehicle fire on M61 motorway

At 09:31 three fire engines from Chorley, Leyland and Horwich and the water bowser from Leyland attended an incident at Rivington Service area on the M61 motorway. The fire involved a large goods vehicle carrying straw. Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
