On the 27th June at 13:39 hours, two fire engines from Burnley and Hyndburn attended a vehicle on its roof on fire on the M65 eastbound at Junction 8. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire. One casualty was conveyed to hospital for a precautionary check. Crews remained on scene for fifty minutes.
