At 16:10 on the 23rd October 2024, three fire engines from Fulwood, Preston and South Shore attended a vehicle fire on M55 Eastbound between junction 3 and 2. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for one hour.
