At 20:26 on 7th January, fire engines from Preston and Fulwood attended a vehicle fire on the M55 westbound between junctions 1 and 2. Crews used one hose reel, one breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Fire crews were on scene for approximately ninety minutes.
