At 01:13 on the 9th July 2026, three fire engines from Blackpool and South Shore attended a waste fire on Rigby Road, Blackpool. The fire involved household waste. Firefighters used one hose reel jet, a triple extension ladder and a gas monitor to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for one hour and twenty minutes.
