Fire crews from Rawtenstall along with the aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn and the Urban Search and Rescue team from Chorley were called to assist with rescuing a casualty who had fallen approximately 20ft down an embankment near Bocholt Way, Rawtenstall. Crews used a triple extension ladder, rope system, trauma bag and basket stretcher to rescue the casualty who was then handed over to the care of paramedics at the scene. Firefighters were in attendance approximately one hour thirty minutes.
