Four fire engines, two from Preston and one from Fulwood and Penwortham were called to a fire involving a quantity of waste in a disused church on Birkdale Drive, Preston. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to bring the fire under control and they were in attendance approximately one hour and ten minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
