At 13:22 on 29 April, three fire engines from Burnley and Bacup attended a wildfire on Burnley Road, Cliviger. The incident affected area of approximately 350 square metres. Firefighters used two drip torches, two blowers, three beaters, and one Hagglund track vehicle to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for approximately three and a half hours.
