Fire crews from Burnley and Nelson were called to reports of a building fire involving a domestic property on Elland Road, Brierfield. The fire involved a hot oil pan. There was one casualty at the incident who was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation by firefighters with oxygen therapy, prior to the arrival of ambulance crews. Firefighters were in attendance approximately one hour thirty minutes.
